Heavy Installation of a Preassembled Bridge Section

As part of the construction of the Podilsko-Voskresensky Bridge in Kyiv, a fully assembled 750-tonne bridge section was installed using a combination of synchronized hydraulic jacking and self-propelled modular transporters. The project required precise coordination between lifting and transport operations to position the bridge element safely within the constrained construction environment.

We delivered the heavy installation scope, combining engineered lifting systems with modular transport technology to complete the operation efficiently and safely.

The preassembled bridge section was first raised approximately 13 metres using four JS500 computerized jacking systems, providing synchronized lifting and precise load control. Once elevated, the structure was transferred onto two 20-line SPMT configurations for transport to its installation location. A Liebherr LR1160 crawler crane supported the lifting sequence and associated site operations. The combination of synchronized jacking, modular transport, and detailed engineering planning enabled the bridge section to be accurately positioned in its final design location while maintaining the project schedule.
