Precision Assembly of Utility-Scale Wind Turbines

The Prymorsk Wind Farm represented another important step in expanding Ukraine’s renewable energy capacity. We provided the heavy lifting expertise required for the installation of GE 3.8 MW wind turbines, ensuring the safe and accurate assembly of every major turbine component from tower sections to rotor blades.

Reliable lifting performance and disciplined execution were essential to maintaining the installation schedule across the wind farm.

Coordinated Installation from Tower Base to Rotor Blades

Each wind turbine was assembled through a carefully planned sequence involving the installation of four tower sections, followed by the nacelle, drivetrain, hub and three rotor blades. A 600-tonne Liebherr LR1600 crawler crane provided the lifting capacity and precision required to handle large components safely at significant installation heights. Careful coordination of lifting operations and site logistics ensured efficient assembly while maintaining the quality and safety standards expected for modern utility-scale wind energy projects.

Successfully installed GE 3.8 MW wind turbines using precision heavy lifting techniques, contributing to the delivery of a major renewable energy project in Ukraine.
